Can I customise the seat numbering?
Not currently. The seat numbers are automatically allocated to each desk in consecutive order from top-left to bottom-right.
How can I fit longer data on my seating plan?
The data fields are intended for small amounts of text, such as grades, SEN codes etc. There is not space to display large chunks of text directly on the seats. However, you can enter longer text into the notes field. These notes can be displayed on screen by clicking the paperclip icon on a student, or printed in a list below your seating plan.
How do I use Avoid Mode to separate students?
Avoid mode can be used to separate selected students from each other. It works by maximising the distance between selected students. While viewing a seating plan, make sure you've selected the 'Original Recipe' tab at the top. Click 'Turn on Avoid Mode'. The seating plan will not allow drag and drop until this mode is toggled off again. Click on the students that you do not wish to sit together.
How can I change the name of my seating plan?
By default, seating plans are named after their associatied class and classroom. However, you can easily give a seating plan a custom name. When viewing your seating plan, click on the name of the seating plan. 2. In the text box, enter your custom name. 3. Click anywhere outside the text box to save your new name.
